America 250 - the Peggy Barclay Tavern
The lantern light flickers against stone walls as the evening mist rolls through the narrow streets of Belfast’s old merchant quarter.
Ships creak in the harbour. Sailors shout along the quays. In taverns across the town, talk grows heated about revolution in the American colonies and the changing tides of empire.
Your journey begins at the door of The Peggy Barclay, reimagined for one night as an 18th-century Belfast tavern.
